Gazing from Kuenselphodrang hilltop, the 51.5-meter Buddha Dordenma is among the world’s largest sitting statues. This radiant spiritual landmark symbolizes peace and prosperity, providing Ziibba Travel guests a perspective as physically elevating as it is spiritually profound.
Story & Significance
The Buddha Dordenma actualizes an 8th-century prophecy by Guru Rinpoche to usher in a period of universal peace. While construction on this golden colossus began in 2005, it took a decade of meticulous craftsmanship before its completion in 2015 to honor the Fourth King. Inside its foundation, 125,000 miniature Buddhas are enshrined as a vast repository of spiritual merit.
