Story & Significance
Built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa Hierarch, Ngawang Chogyel, this temple honors the victory of Lama Drukpa Kunley over a local demoness. Legend states the Divine Madman used his 'thunderbolt of flaming wisdom' to subdue the spirit. His unorthodox methods challenged religious hypocrisy, making spirituality accessible and human.
