11- Day| Jhololhari Itinerary

Arrival & Paro Exploration
Day 1 – Arrival in Paro

Arrive in Paro, settle into your hotel and take a gentle walk or short temple visit to begin acclimising.

Day 2 – Paro Sightseeing & Acclimisation

Explore Paro’s key monasteries and viewpoints at a relaxed pace, balancing light cultural touring with rest before the trek.

Tiger's Nest & Valley Trails
Day 3 – Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Hike up to the iconic Taktsang Monastery perched on a cliff above the valley, then descend to Paro to rest and prepare for trekking.

Day 4 – Paro to Shana (2,900m)

Drive to the trailhead and trek along the Paro Chhu through forest and farmland to your first riverside camp near Shana.

Day 5 – Shana to Jangothang (4,080m)

Continue up the valley, gradually gaining altitude through forest and open meadows before reaching Jangothang base camp.

High Passes & Remote Highlands
Day 6 – Jangothang to Lingshi (4,890m Pass)

Climb to a high pass with expansive mountain views, then descend through yak pastures to the village of Lingshi.

Day 7 – Lingshi to Shodu (Pass 4,390m)

Cross another high pass and follow a narrowing valley down to camp by the river at Shodu.

Day 8 – Shodu to Barshong (3,600m)

Follow the river through forest and small gorges, then climb gently to Barshong camp near fortress ruins.

Return & Departure
Day 9 – Trek End & Drive to Thimphu

Walk to the road’s end before traveling to Thimphu to enjoy a luxury stay and a city night out.

Day 10 – Thimphu at Leisure

Immerse in Thimphu with visits to three Signature Places, such as the Simply Bhutan, Zorig Chusum and Textile Academy, at a relaxed pace.

Day 11 – Departure

Transfer to Paro for final shopping and departure flight.
