The Thimphu Tshechu is one of the most famous festivals in Bhutan. It brings together monks, locals, and families at Tashichho Dzong for several days of vibrant ritual dances. You will see religious mask performances and traditional music by the Royal Academy of Performing Arts, showcasing Bhutan’s beautiful heritage. Day 4: Punakha Valley Travels
Travel to Punakha valley by driving over the Dochula pass. • View the Himalayan mountain range.
Day 5: Fortresses & Return to Paro
Explore the gilded courtyards of Punakha Dzong and the sacred Chimi Lhakhang before a drive back to Paro.
Encounter the vibrant energy of the capital before finding tranquility in Punakha’s riverside scenery. You will conclude with a peaceful stay in Paro valley, exploring local lifestyle and ascending to the legendary Tiger’s Nest.
